Recreogo vs. Easy Vibe Outdoors

For camper and small-trailer owners deciding what should run their rental business.

Recreogo is a booking platform and marketplace built around powersports rentals: boats, jet skis, UTVs, ATVs, and snowmobiles. Their pitch is that the software costs you nothing, because your guests pay a 6% booking fee at online checkout instead. Easy Vibe Outdoors is the opposite arrangement, built by a camper owner for campers and small towable trailers: you pay a flat $19 to $59 a month, and your guests never pay a platform fee.

This page sticks to facts you can check yourself. Every Recreogo claim on it comes from their own public site, checked on the date above. If something's changed or reads unfair, tell me and I'll fix it.

Here's the thing about free software: somebody still pays for it. On a $1,000 booking, your guest hands Recreogo $60 at checkout. Once your online bookings pass about $3,800 a year, your guests are collectively paying them more than you'd pay us for the whole year, and it lands on your price at the worst possible moment, right when a renter is deciding whether to book you.

To be fair both ways: Recreogo refunds the booking fee in full when a customer refund occurs, which is genuinely customer-friendly. An idle month really does cost you nothing. And their marketplace works to bring you renters, which we don't do at all. The question to sit with is the phone-bookings loophole: taking a call instead is how your guest avoids the fee, and moving bookings back to the phone is exactly what online booking was supposed to fix.
